Description

Visually, the VB 03 presents a pale yellow-gold color with deep yellow highlights. The nose reveals concentrated, rocky aromas of tender limestone, Carensac liquorice, lemon, fresh rose, acacia, wild strawberry, pomelo, orange, and apricot. On the palate, it develops a pulpy, fruity matter with a pronounced limestone minerality, delivering frankness, saltiness, iodine notes, and a lengthy finish that is savoury and finely mineral.

The VB 03 Extra-Brut is crafted from organically certified vineyards in Lhéry, Vallée de l’Ardre, with soils of clay, limestone, sand, and tufa, facing South-West. This blend includes 70% Meunier, 20% Chardonnay, and 10% Pinot Noir, harvested in 2019 and 2020. The wine undergoes thermoregulated vat vinification, natural settling, malolactic fermentation, and lees aging. Bottled in May 2021 and disgorged in May 2023, it has a dosage of 2 g/L.

Serve at 9°C in a slender, curved glass. Pair this champagne with seared prawns and parmesan espuma, creamy ceps soup, fresh salmon steak on vegetable tagliatelle, pork tenderloin with snow peas puree and bacon Colonnata, or semi-refined Cantal cheese.

Elemart Robion is a distinguished family vineyard situated in the Vallée de l’Ardre, Southwest of Reims, covering 4.38 hectares. This estate, with a rich five-generation legacy in the picturesque village of Lhéry, was established over 60 years ago by Thierry's grandparents. Thierry and Catherine, who took over in 1992, have since dedicated themselves to cultivating their vineyards with a focus on organic viticulture, achieving certification by 2014. Their approach is rooted in a deep respect for their terroir, combining traditional practices with a modern commitment to sustainability. Their son, Eloi, has joined the family business, further enriching their dedication to producing exceptional champagnes.

The name ELEMART ROBION symbolizes their enduring family heritage, merging their surname with the initials of their three sons: Eloi, Leopold, and Martin. This combination reflects their pride in their lineage and their commitment to crafting wines that embody the unique characteristics of their land. With meticulous attention to detail and a passion for organic methods, Elemart Robion produces champagnes that offer a true and vibrant expression of the Vallée de l’Ardre. Their wines are celebrated for their authenticity and the distinctive personality imparted by their unique terroir and sustainable practices.
