Description

Deep ruby in colour, this Cinsault is perfumed with a fruit-forward nose and hints of violet. On the palate grippy tannins give structure and a bright acidity carries the flavours onto the elegant finish.

The grapes for this wine were carefully hand harvested. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were sorted by hand prior to destemming. Fermentation with gentle extraction techniques took place in stainless steel tanks and the wine was then aged for 12 months in neutral fibreglass tanks before bottling.

The Cinsault is sourced from a vineyard situated in the high hills of La Livinière at 400 metres above sea level. The 60-year-old bush vines grow on schist soils and produce low yields of grapes packed full of flavour.
