This intricate blend with its inky red appearance exudes exotic aromas of chocolate, red berries and spice. On the palate rich fruit combine with integrated oak flavours and smooth, dry tannins for incredible mouthfeel and structure. Enjoy with Peking duck, dry-aged steak or lamb tagine.

Bacco was founded out of a love and appreciation for the elegance and opulence of Italy’s Super Tuscan producers. Their aim is to produce premium quality wines that offer an experiential brand of luxury to lovers of South African wine.

The vineyard is situated next door to Vilafonté, so you can be sure that the terroir is top quality, which really shines through in the wines.

Hand picked and then meticulously hand sorted, at both a bunch and berry level, before a gentle crush and five days of cold soaking to extract colour and flavour. After fermentation, the wine was pressed and transferred to French oak barrels for 20 months of maturation – 95% was 1st fill, with the Malbec component in older oak. After blending and bottling, the wine was aged for another 18 months prior to release.
