Tucked between the foothills of the Alps and Butgundy, Jura is France's most confidential vineyard region. It is also responsible for some of the country's most individual wines, notably the famous Vin Jaune or 'yellow wine' which is aged in barrel under the influence of flor yeast for seven years before release.

This particular bottle fermented sparkling wine comes from the Jura's largest and oldest co-operative which are refered to locally as 'Fruitiéres'.
Whilst the base of the cuvée is 100% Chardonnay, the wine is given a different dimension with the inspired addition of a tiny percentage of Vin Jaune immediately prior to bottling. This delivers a beguiling complexity to both aroma and palate.

Pour it in celebration, but this Crémant works equally well at the table. It is also the ultimate sparkling wine match for Jura's renowned Comté cheese.
